EN15085 certification is a welding certification system mark for rail vehicles and vehicle components, which is widely used in the rail transit industry.

The EU standard EN 15085, full name: Railway applications Welding of railway vehicles and components. It is a system certification for welding processes of railways and related components, and is a prerequisite and core content for international railway industry system certification (IRIS certification).

Its predecessor was the German standard DIN6700, which was later revised by the European Standards Committee and became the current EN15085. Rail transportation, as an important mode of transportation for large tonnage, has become an indispensable part of today's society and its level of development is unstoppable. With the development of China's rail transit industry, the export products of rail related enterprises in China are increasing day by day. Certification through such standard systems is a necessary condition for Chinese rail vehicle and vehicle component enterprises to export to EU countries.

CL4 does not have direct welding, only designs, procures, installs or sells EN ISO 3834-3 CL1: A; CL2：B/C

EN15085 Quality Requirements and Certification for Welding Enterprises:

1. Enterprise certification and other qualifications

2. Personnel qualifications (welding management personnel, welding personnel, operators, supervisors)

3. Welding process evaluation, pre welding process evaluation, and welding instructions related to work specimens

Requirements for welding personnel:

Welders and operators: According to the requirements of product welds, welders are tested and inspected according to ISO 9606 or ISO14732 standards. Personnel: Certified according to the standards and work under the guidance of the welding responsible person.

EN15085 Welding Production Requirements:

Personnel: Qualification certificates for welding, assembly, inspection, and testing personnel

Equipment: Equipment acceptance certificate, maintenance records

Materials: base material, welding material, gas quality packaging book, welding material inspection record

Rule: Fair record, specimen record, general document, sequential plan
